26 girls to compete for Palaash Miss India-2015 crown


Gurgaon, Sep 6 (IANS): A total of 26 girls, shortlisted from almost 1,500 candidates from a 15-city audition across India, will compete at the finale of beauty pageant Palaash Miss India-2015, to be held here on Wednesday.

It will be held at live entertainment destination Kingdom of Dreams, in the presence of popular names from the fashion, cinema and business world.

A beauty and talent scouting platform, Palaash Miss India-2015 was launched at a curtain-raiser event in the capital on Friday by Panache Global Pvt Ltd, the parent company behind the brand.

Pallavee Sharma, chairwoman and managing director of Panache Global Pvt Ltd, shared that the event is a platform "which will not just celebrate beauty, but also provide a stage to millions of young women across India to showcase their talent".

"Our aim is to train and groom these smart young women in order to channelize their inner strengths which will help them achieve the larger life goals.

"Looking at the unprecedented show of support we got from our candidates, organising partners and from the media, we're sure that Palaash Miss India is here to stay and will grow in stature with every edition," Sharma added.

The 26 finalists have been selected after rounds of auditions, which were organised in 15 cities with regional finals conducted in Delhi, Agra, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Guwahati, Bengaluru and Mumbai. The competition was open for all unmarried Indian women in the age group of 18 to 27 years with a minimum height of 5 ft 6 inches.

The finalists of Palaash Miss India-2015 are currently undergoing sessions as part of a five-day National Grooming Camp.
