Chennai, Aug 25: South superstar Vijay's movie Puli opposite Sridevi, titled Puli too is said to be packed with a lot of visual effects and complex computer graphics, making it a strong contender to replicate the success of SS Rajamouli's magnum opus Baahubali. However the trailer that has been released of the film did not find as many fans excited about it as the trailer of Baahubali had managed to do.

There are quite a few aspects that are the same between the two movies. From the first look of Vijay in Puli and Prabhas in Baahubali to both stories being a period fantasy drama set in a kingdom ruled by evil, and its strong female characters.

Puli is slated for release on the 17th of September as opposed to its previous release date which had been two weeks earlier and sources have revealed that the delay was caused by the computer graphics work that needed to be done. The work had been outsourced and when the team was unhappy with the result that they received they had to re-order the work to be done once again causing disruption of the initial release plans.
