Mumbai, Aug 25: Director Nikhil Advani, the director of the movie Hero insisted that Salman Khan who is the producer of the film, should sit in on the edit of the movie and Salman trimmed it by a whole half an hour to improve it for the audiences. Seems like Salman might have had a lot of effect of rubbing shoulders with perfectionist Aamir Khan.
'Hero' is the debut movie for both Sooraj Pancholi's son, Sooraj Pancholi and Suneil Shetty's daughter Athiya Shetty which is all set to release on the 11th of September.
Nikhil reportedly told media persons that, "I told him (Salman) if you don't sit on the edit, I cannot finish this film. You need to sit on the edit, to tell me what is right and what is wrong, what is working, what is not working'." He was speaking at an interview when he said that, "Before the making, I called him and said to him tell me what you want."
Recent reports however stated that Salman did not interfere in the creative process of the movie at all. Nikhil revealed, "It totally satisfies me as a director. What it allowed me to do is while 'Hero' was being made, I also made 'Katti Batti'. 'Hero' is a producer's film, 'Katti Batti' is a director's film."
Nikhil and Salman had forged a solid bond while working on the Salaam-e-Ishq and their friendship has continued to remain quite strong.
