Bantwal, August 24: Bhavani Foundation, Mumbai held a free Health Camp in the premises of Kuddupadavu Udayagiri Government Higher Primary School in memory of late Chelladka Bhavani Deranna Shetty on Saturday August 22.
A J Hospital and Institute of Medical Sciences Mangaluru founder A J Shetty speaking on the occasion said that a portion of the earnings in life should be spent for social work. “A person can indulge in social service only when healthy. Rural people should make use of modern day medical practices. Everybody should come forward to get treated during the initial stages of illness,” he said.
Adyanadka Primary Health center official Dr Subhodkuymar Rai inaugurated the camp after checking the pulse of MP Nalin Kumar Kateel. Bhavani Foundation founder executive president Daddangadi Chelladka Kusumodara D Shetty presided over the programme.

Sreeja led the prayer. Bhavani Foundation Trustee member Chelladka Radhakrishna Shetty welcomed the gathering. Rajeeva Bhandary Manipadavu gave the keynote address. Trustee member, journalist Rons Bantwal proposed the vote of thanks. Teacher Suresh Kumar Rai compered the programme.
The health camp was held with the cooperation of A J Hospital and Institute of Medical Science, Mangaluru. Several medical tests were conducted in the camp. Nearly 511 people benefitted from the camp.
