Bangalore, Jun 18: The award presentation ceremony of Lioness council dist 324-D6 was held on Saturday June 16 at Seva Sadan Malleshwaram here.

District chairman of Lioness Club Ln C K Krishnamurthy called the meeting to order. This was followed by welcome address. He later thanked all his team for their whole hearted cooperation in rendering services to the downtrodden.

Associated chairperson Ln Naveen Sridhar was with all praises to the members for their commitment and dedication in rendering service to the needy.

Council secretary Lns Saroja presented the report with all the service activities and was proud to state that the total service rendered crossed Rs 25 lac for this year in various fields like IOL surgeries, blood donation camps, health check up camps, veterinary camps, service to the orphanages, old-age homes, education etc.

Council treasurer Lns Champaka presented facts and figures for the year in crystal clear form which was appreciated by one and all.

District governor Ln V V Krishna Reddy MJF was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion he pointed out that there was 40% growth in membership during this year which is worth appreciating. He further said that there will be a ‘Lions leadership Institute’ and ‘Tissue Bank’ for the district immediately. He also handed over appreciation awards to the council team.

A souvenir was released by the first lady of the district Ln Gowri. Lioness club of Sadashivanagar was judged as outstanding club among urban clubs.

The programme was compered by Lns Usha and Dr Sadhana who kept the audience enthralled with jokes. Lns Asma Razika proposed the vote of thanks.
