Alia to star opposite SRK in Gauri Shinde's next instead of Katrina

Mumbai, Aug 20: Highway actress Alia Bhatt has arrived - and how. She is now all set to work and be seen on screen opposite the Badshaah of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) in Gauri Shinde's next, as yet untitled venture. Karan Johar took to the micro blogging site to announce the development as his company Dharma Productions have signed on as the producers for the film.

On his Twitter handle Karan Johar wrote, "Red Chillies Entertainment...Dharma and Hope Productions are proud to present Gauri Shinde's next starring...SHAH RUKH KHAN and ALIA BHATT.."

While Alia whose Twitter handle is Shandaar Alia, named after her soon to be released flick opposite Haider star Shahid Kapoor, wrote, "Will no longer have any problem with my English Vinglish.. can't wait to be directed by Gauri Shinde with the man himself Shahrukh Khan!!!"

Gauri Shinde who became a household name for her megahit movie - English Vinglish which had superstar Sridevi making her comeback to mainstream cinema. The movie that told the story of a housewife struggling to learn the English language after being constantly ridiculed by her husband and kids - went on to become a huge favourite amongst its audiences both in India and abroad.

All the three have proven their mettle and it remains to be seen what amazing cinema they will bring about for their eagerly waiting fans.
