50,000 Indians give standing ovation to UAE for temple land

Dubai, Aug 17 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday got a cheering crowd of 50,000 Indians to give a standing ovation to Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his gesture in giving land for a temple for Indians.

"I give my heartfelt thanks to the crown prince and the UAE and Dubai rulers for the gesture," Modi said to the cheering crowd.

"On the one hand there is terrorism in the name of religion, and innocents are killed; and at such a time of concern, the crown prince has given land in Abu Dhabi for a temple for the Indians," he said.

"The people who know Abu Dhabi, they realise that the decision is of such importance. All Indians should thank him. I appeal to you all people to thank him with a round of applause for the gesture, and give a standing ovation to the Crown Prince," he said.

Now that you have roamed the world and seen for yourself the thousands of temples all across the Western worlds, and now land to build your temple. See for yourself how the peoples from around the world treat people in general and Hindus in particular.

Hence, could you allow the minorities in India live in peace and practice their faiths? Can't we ask for something reciprocal? Could we see a full STOP to attacks on places of worship like a Mosque, Church, etc?

Don't just hit the disagree button, please remember to treat people the way you want to be treated.
