Margao, Jun 13: In a shocking incident, an elder brother allegedly killed his own younger brother in a fit of drunken rage at Colmorod -Navelim on Monday evening.

According to Margao police, they have arrested Vitthal Sinari (36), for murdering his younger brother Vikas Sinari. 

The police said that he was killed by hitting a wooden block on his head, after an altercation that was triggered under the influence of alcohol.

Vikas is said to have died on the spot, as the impact of the hit was severe. This incident happened between 3 pm to 5 pm on Monday.

Late evening on the same day in Devullmoll- Shirvoy -Quepem, another murder took place, in which Sanghai Ganachari (32) was reported murdered by some unknown person. He was hit in the neck and head, as he was returning home around 9 pm, said the police

The Quepem police have retrieved the axe used in the crime and are investigating this case.
