Mangalore, Jun.12: “Some cargo agencies in the DK district are cheating the customers, by not delivering all the contents that come from abroad, “said JD (S) leaders, D M Aslam and Rafique Suratkal.

Those who are employed in the gulf countries from the district are sending household items, dress materials etc, to their family, back in India through these cargo agencies.  However, they are not delivering all the contents of the cargo, to the consignees, they stated in their press release.

Recently, a parcel was sent to H Isamma, a resident of Krishnapur from Qatif, working in gulf.  When the parcel cargo arrived it was found that half the content mentioned in AWB was missing.  Further enquiries with the cargo agency, which delivered the cargo, revealed that the telephone numbers printed in their POD belonged to a builder’s office.  At the backdrop of several such cases are being reported in the district, they urged deputy commissioner of police, to take action against these cargo agencies which cheat innumerable customers.
