Mangalore, Jun 9: A visitor from Bangalore drowned at Ullal beach at Mogaveerapatna, on Saturday, June 9, evening.
He has been identified as Dr Ravi Kumar (40), resident of Vivek Nagar, Bangalore. Dr Kumar, along with his wife Manjula (39) and daughter Gauatami (13, had arrived here earlier after visiting Dharmasthala and Subrahmanya.
They were strolling on the beach when a large wave washed them away. The locals rescued Manjula and Gautami, while Dr.Ravi Kumar, could not be saved.
The survivors were admitted to a neighbouring hospital. A case has been registered at Ullal police station.
