Nottingham, Aug 9 (IANS): Australia's cricket team coach Darren Lehmann has come under intense criticism not only after his side's meek Ashes loss but also for a seemingly innocent tweet.

England won the fourth Test by an innings and 78 runs to regain the Ashes at Trent Bridge cricket ground on Saturday, culminating a just reward for a side that has dominated its arch-rivals throughout the series.

England took an unassailable 3-1 lead with the fifth and final match scheduled to start on August 20 in London.

Lehmann has been criticised for his team selection among other and it seemed there was not let up in denunciation.

"Would like to go to Stoke v Liverpool with a couple of people anyone help? @stokecity or @LFC can you please retweet," he wrote on Twitter on Sunday.

His tweet comes just a day after Australia suffered the humiliating series loss. The former cricketer and current coach sent out a seemingly innocent request in search of tickets to English Premier League football match between Liverpool and Stoke City on Sunday.

But he received a fierce response on Twitter from fans who advised him to concentrate on his job after the debacle.

"@darren_lehmann @stokecity @LFC aren't you playing tomorrow...oooops sorry," a tweet said.

"@darren_lehmann @stokecity @LFC you should be reviewing how you lost the #Ashes2015 to one of the worst English side in history!," another fan tweeted.

"@darren_lehmann I've also got some Trent Bridge Day 5 tickets to get off my hands if anyone wants :-)," another fan tweeted criticising Lehmann.

But Lehmann also received some support from Candice Warner, wife of Aussie batsman David Warner who tweeted: "Why are people so unkind?!"
