Mangaluru, Aug 6: The Inauguration and blessing of the new Kindergarten block with play area, audio visual room and computer centre and parent teachers’ meeting was held on Wednesday at Rosario school in the city.
Rosario kindergarten block is an endeavour to create a caring, safer, conducive and stimulating environment for the all-round development of the child’s personality and growth. This new block was pioneered by the correspondent Fr J B Crasta, the tower and strength of the Rosario Institutions.
The president of the programme Msgr Denis Moras Prabhu, vice president of The Catholic board of education, inaugurated the new computer centre and conducted the prayer service and blessed the new premises.
Fr Jerald D’souza, secretary of The Catholic board of education, inaugurated and blessed the audio visual room. Guest of honour Sachin Lawrence, city reserved armed police inspector and an alumni of Rosario school, inaugurated the Kindergarten section.
This was followed by the parent teacher’s meet at the Rosario cultural hall.
Fr J B Crasta, correspondent, Rosario institutions welcomed the dignitaries and the parents.
The president of the programme, in his message appealed to the parents to treat the children with love and care. The modern facilities provided to the students should be a platform to learn, explore and gain better knowledge which will help them to grow academically and intellectually.
Fr Jerald D’souza, secretary of the Catholic board of education said creating a better environment at home would not only help the children to be better individuals of the society but also to grow into better citizens of the nation.
Guest of honour Sachin Lawrence highlighted that parents should be good role models and provide proper foundation for their growth.
Resource person Anitha Amarnath gave an enlightening message to the parents. She said quality time, parents involvement, good values, prayers etc go a long way in the child’s development and progress.
Headmistress Jeanette Fernandes provided various guidelines and information to the parents regarding school matters.
Fr Rock Fernandes, principal, Rosario degree college, Fr Vincent D’souza, principal Rosario PU college, Aloysius D’souza, headmaster, Rosario high school, Sr Antony Mary, headmistress, St Ursula Hr Pry School, members of the managing committee Dolphy D’souza, Dolphy Tauro, Shahila D’Almeida, guests and parents were present for the programme.
Mayzita Menezes and Juliana Furtado compered the programme.
