Tbilisi (Georgia), Aug 5 (IANS): The Disciplinary Committee of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has imposed a penalty of 20,000 euros on Georgia's football powerhouse Dinamo Tbilisi.
The committee said the penalty was because several illicit banners appeared during a match against Azerbaijani FC Gabala on July 2. According to UEFA, Dinamo Tbilisi was charged for racist behaviour, field invasion by fans and displaying illicit banners, reports Xinhua.
The match was won 2-1 by Dinamo.
An incident happened after the match. There was a quarrel between Georgian and Azerbaijani fans and the former damaged the guests' flags in the process.
