Munich, Aug 4 (IANS): German football club Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola praised his compatriot Pedro Rodriguez, saying that "he can play in any team in the world" amid rumours that the forward might leave Barcelona to join Manchester United.

"These are rumours I have heard but I don't know the situation. If I was the Barcelona coach, I could tell you more," the former Barcelona coach said on Monday, reports Efe.

Guardiola was the coach who gave Rodriguez the chance to play with Barcelona's first team.
