AICW 2015: Varun Bahl launches bespoke luxury wedding company

New Delhi, Aug 1 (IANS): With designers across the globe trying to enter the lifestyle space with different associations and ventures, designer Varun Bahl considered this an ideal time to open his bespoke luxury wedding company.

The new venture was announced in the form of a fashion show at the ongoing Amazon India Couture Week (AICW) 2015 where he showcased his latest collection.

"This special venture is an extension of my journey as a designer within the couture and design segment on a much grander scale and it's within the bespoke luxury wedding design industry," Bahl told IANS.

Inspired by the woman who escapes into a numinous world and lives the beauty she witnesses, his 2015 couture collection spined an enigma through floral motifs.

The show started with a poem recital by actor Randeep Hooda. It was followed by a collection that experimented with surface embroidery techniques. The designer used array of splendid colours like, ivory, pale pink, pale blue, old rose and bold hues like black, burgundy, deep maroon and gold.

The magnificence of the motifs on the fabric creates a sensual and magical sequence, which brings out the delicate luxe factor.

Through the myriad designs, this collection focused on enhancing the feminine beauty of that modern woman who revisits her tradition for a combination of classic and contemporary styles with exquisite craftsmanship.

Also present on the front row of the show was Bhumi Pednekar, who made her debut under the YRF banner with "Dum Laga Ke Haisha". The actress was seen wearing Bahl's creation.
