About 3-4 notes of Rs 500 were found attached to the election manifesto of the independent candidate Somnath Zuwarkar who is contesting from the Taleigao Constituency in the coming elections.
Election observers rushed to the spot and conducted a panchanama and later seized the currency notes, while also registering a complaint against unidentified persons.
However thre were also rumours that it could be handiwork of the supporters of UGDP candidate Babush Monserrate against Zuwarkar, as the two are pitted against each other.
