Now, dead crocodile surfaces at Goa beach


Panaji, July 27 (IANS): Yet another crocodile, this time a dead one, was spotted at Goa's popular Miramar beach on Monday morning.

The two-meter long crocodile was washed ashore Miramar beach, A post mortem is being conducted to identify the cause of death, Conservator of Forests D. N. Carvalho told IANS.

"It has washed up ashore. We are conducting the post mortem," the official said.

Miramar beach is one of the most popular beaches in Goa.

This is the second instance in a fortnight that a crocodile has been spotted on Goa's beaches.

Earlier, photos of a fully-grown crocodile crawling along the popular Morjim beach had triggered a sensation here.

Goa is one of the best beach tourism destinations and attracts nearly three million tourists annually.
