Los Angeles, July 26 (IANS): Actress Olivia Taylor Dudley says when she read the script of the forthcoming horror film "Vatican Tapes", it gave her nightmares.
"I read the script at night and I had nightmares. I had never experienced something like this before but I had to be a part of this film," Dudley said in a statement.
The story of "The Vatican Tapes" revolves around Angela Holmes (Dudley), an ordinary 27-year-old until she begins to have a devastating effect on anyone close, causing serious injury and death.
"I love the fact that I got to play two characters in the film. The unsuspecting ordinary girl and the tormented soul, rotting away as each day passes, torn on the inside. Another important thing is Angela is not the anti-Christ, she is merely a vessel," she said.
"To get an opportunity to play a character that evolves from someone who is just another girl next door into unfathomable evil being from the nether world," she added.
Directed by Mark Neveldine, the film also stars Michael Pena and Djimon Hounsou.
