Mumbai, Jul 26: Singer Palash Sen who became a household name for songs like 'Dhoom Pichuk Dhoom' is back to being in front of the cameras for his recently released movie 'Aisa Yeh Jahaan' and his efforts have been praised by other singers in the industry.
Palash had previously acted in the movie Filhaal with Sushmita Sen, Tabu and Sanjay Suri and while the movie hadn't made it big at the box office it win an award and managed four nomination in its day. Singer Kailash Kher seemed proud of fellow singer Palash making the effort to try another craft, and said, "Palash has really made me feel proud and happy. In fact I am always scared and concerned as most of the singers, after legendary Kishore Kumar, have not succeeded in the field of acting.
But Palash has really given a big relief to me. He has come like a savior.”
Actor Ayushmann Khurana too is known for working both sides of the coin - acting as well as singing. On the matter of another singer doing the same as him, he said, “I’ve been a big fan of Palash dada and Euphoria. I got goosebumps after I heard the first song ‘Sautela Sheher’. Films like ‘Aisa Yeh Jahan’ should be made more often and it is the need of the hour." Singer Wajid Ali of the music composing duo Sajid-Wajid said, "“I’ve been a big fan of Palash dada and Euphoria. The movie Aisa Yeh Jahaan has been directed by Biswajeet Bora and stars Ira Dubey. It tells the story of an Assamese family that shifts to Mumbai, and how they grapple with being a part of the life in the metros. It also sheds light on how people hailing from the North Eastern part of India are discriminated against.
Palash and Ira have really given their best and they shoulder the movie quite well.
