Mumbai: Award conferred on Panduranga Hegade

Mumbai, Jul 21: Havyaka Welfare Trust, Mumbai along with Karnataka Malla daily newspaper held their annual programme at Havyaka Auditorium, Deepthi Solitair building, Ghatkopar west on the afternoon of Sunday July 19.










Chief guest, well known dramatist and member of Mysore Association, Mumbai, K Manjunathayya inaugurated the programme by lighting the traditional lamp. Havyaka Welfare Trust president N R Hagade presided
over the programme.

Guest of honor, president of Kannadiga Patrakarthara Sangha and Maharashtra president Chandrashekar Palethady presented Karki Venkataramana Shastri Soori Award 2015 to environment lover and well known social worker Panduranga Hegade and congratulated him.

"N R Hegade in his presidential address said that the trust has identified others along with Havyaka community. We are forging ahead for the security of the country together with the love for culture and
environment," he said.

Honorary treasurer A G Bhat, joint secretary R M Shastri, Sanjay Bhat and others were present. Havyaka trust vice president Shivakumar P Bhagwat was present on the dais. Advocate Amitha S Bhagwat congratulated the awardee in his speech.

The programme started with Keshava Hegde reciting the religious verses. Hema Hagade led the prayers. Award committee convener Thanuja Hegade welcomed the gathering. Honorary chief secretary Narayana R Akadasa and Rakesh Hegade read the congratulatory messages. Shanta Bhat introduced the guests. Award committee convener Keshava Hegade and Shashikala Hegade compered the programme. Suresh Hegade proposed the vote of thanks.

TV artiste and Kannada comedy artiste Sudha Baragooru presented a comedy programme.
