New York, July 17 (IANS): Actress Rumer Willis will make her Broadway debut in the musical "Chicago", taking over from Brandy Norwood next month.
The "House Bunny" star is to portray Roxie Hart at the Ambassador Theater here for a limited eight-week run, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
The 26-year-old actress will make her debut in the production on August 18, with her stint wrapping on October 11.
Willis has previously appeared in the off-Broadway production "Love, Loss, And What I Wore".
The announcement of Willis's new role comes a few weeks after she was forced to quit the "Dancing With the Stars" live tour after fracturing her foot.
She announced the news on photo-sharing website Instagram by writing alongside a black and white image of her foot in a supportive brace.
She wrote: "I have to hang up my dancing shoes for a little bit because of a few stress fractures in my foot but it's not gonna stop me from singing for you guys on the #DWTSlivetour. (sic)"
