Bengaluru, July 17 (IANS): Rain and thundershowers would occur at most places in coastal Karnataka, South interior Karnataka and North interior Karnataka, the meteorological department said on Friday.
Coastal Karnataka districts include Uttara Kannada, Udupi and Dakshina Kannada; North Karnataka districts include Belgaum, Bijapur, Bagalkot, Bidar, Ballari, Gulbarga, Yadgir, Raichur, Gadag, Dharwad, Haveri and Koppal; while south Karnataka includes Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapur, Kodagu, Kolar, Hassan, Mandya, Mysore Ramanagara and Tumkur where rain showers are likely to occur.
Bengaluru will experience a cloudy sky with rain in some areas and strong gusty surface winds at times, officials said.
Heavy rainfall lashed the city on Thursday. Bengaluru and HAL Airport recorded 9.3 mm and 6.9 mm rainfall.
The maximum temperature on Friday would hover around 30 degree Celsius while the minimum temperature would be around 20 degree Celsius.
Bengaluru recorded a maximum temperature of 30.3 degree Celsius, two notches above the season's average while the minimum temperature matched the season's average with 20.4 degree Celsius.
The highest temperature in Gulbarga was recorded 36.4 degrees Celsius on Thursday.
