Panaji, May 18: The Congress party will not be reluctant to take BJP's support to form a government in the state as it has become power-hungry and wants to grab the chair to continue with the misdeeds they have indulged in during last two years, Save Goa Front president churchill Alemao has said.

"Congress observer Sanjay Nirupam, who had left Shiv Sena to join Congress, talking about the party loyalty and singing tunes of development is a big joke. Considering Nirupam's past, he will not hesitate to tie up with BJP, if they want to form government in the state"

"Congress has found that it is losing ground in the state, but is hell-bent on coming back to power. Any kind of game plan the party might work out to grab the chair," Alemao said.

He said that Congress had turned into a shameless organisation. "The Congress denied ticket to Somnath Zuwarkar in Taleigao. It is only after Babush Monserrate ditched them at the last minute in his usual fashion that the Congress is running after Zuwarkar. The Congress party has no self-esteem and backbone," the Save Goa Front president said.

Similarly, Nirupam, by raking up the issue of Save Goa Front's relation with BJP, is trying to hide their own hidden relations with BJP. "How can we forge an understanding with BJP which is supporting Mopa airport while we have been openly opposing it? There should be some logic in the way Nirupam speaks," Alemao said.

Lambasting BJP, Alemao has questioned whether the BJP will ally with UGDP now considering the fact that Babush is a part of the party. "They had supported Mathany Saldanha at Cortalim.... What is their stand now? Is BJP going to ditch their good old friend?," Alemao has questioned.

The Save Goa Front has demanded that the BJP should clarify its stand in public before asking for votes.

Alemao has said that the Save Goa Front is committed to the welfare of the people and will continue striving for Goans.
