Belagavi, Jul 11 (DHNS): Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has accused JD (S) leader H D Kumaraswamy of joining hands with the BJP to destabilise his government just because he was backing ‘Ahinda’ (Kannada acronym for minorities, backward classes and dalits).
Interacting with the media on Friday, on the last day of the legislature session in Belagavi, he said the Opposition was conspiring to move a no confidence motion against his government. “Anyhow,” he said, “I have the confidence to face the motion.”
“I am for social justice. The BJP and the JD (S) have not been able to tolerate this,” he said.
Replying to another question, he said he was satisfied with the outcome of the 10-day session in Belagavi. The government has efficiently answered the issues and questions raised by the Opposition. It is impossible to find a solution to all the problems of North Karnataka at one go, he said.
Speaking to the media, Speaker Kagodu Thimmappa expressed satisfaction over the outcome of the session. He said it was now up to the government to decide whether the legislature session should be held for a few more days in Belagavi.
