Mangaluru, Jul 10: MP Naleen Kumar Kateel inaugurated the post office savings bank ATM at the head post office at Pandeshwar here on Friday, July 10.
Speaking on the occasion, Kateel said, “The inauguration of the post office ATM machine here in Mangaluru will give a boost to this service sector. In order to promote organizations under central government, our prime minister has given more emphasis on different projects. In recent times, post offices have come to a position of closing down. But now it has entered into the banking sector which will rejuvenate this sector. In villages, these post office ATMs need to be installed and people need to support this only then it is possible to keep this sector going”.
S Gopal retired senior superintendent of post office became the first customer to operate the ATM.
S Rajendra Kumar, postmaster general south Karnataka region and others were present.
