Mangaluru, Jul 7: The muhurat for the new upcoming Tulu film 'Jugari' directed by Anand P Raju, produced by Pammi Kodialbail and R Dhanraj under the banner of 9 o' clock creations will be held on Thursday July 9 at PVS Kalakunj Hall, near Bhagavathi Temple.
A press conference was organised by the 'Jugari' film crew to announce the muhurat date here on Tuesday July 7 at Ocean Pearl Hotel.
Addressing the media, director of 2007 Tulu film Koti Chennaya and upcoming film 'Jugari' Anand P Raju said, "I have special regard for the people of Mangaluru. The new upcoming film 'Jugari' is based on youth. It is about making money. There is comedy in this film and the comedy goes along with the story. I am doing this story based on today's trend."
"Todays' generation thinks more about making money. Nikhil is the main character in this film and he wants to know what is going to happen once he makes lot of money. He is a MBA graduate from Canada. He is the son of a landlord and he is a Village boy. Jugari (Gambling) in this generation is not only about playing cards. In Jugari many things are there including cricket betting, cock fight, Kambla and many things." he added.
Lead actress Ester Noronha speaking to media said, "The story of this film is really good. Director Anand explained me about the film and my role and I accepted it."
The movie is scheduled to be released in October end or in the first week of November.
Amma Shambhavi is going to grace the Muhurat ceremony. Health Minister U T Khader will be lighting the lamp. Camera rolling will be done by former minister Krishna J Palemar and cinema clap will be given by Mass Queen Ragini Dwivedi.
Artistes like Karthik Banjan, Ester Noronha, Amith Rao, Naveen D Padil, Shobharaj, Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Santhosh Shetty, Gopinath Bhat, Chethan Rai Mani, Satish Bandale, Saajan Shety, Shobha Rai, Aleesha and others are in the film.
