Mangaluru: Eight Ayush doctors felicitated at Wenlock hospital

Mangaluru, Jul 5: “AYUSH system of medical practices is a contribution of our forefathers to the entire world. AYUSH doctors should sincerely practice, involve and respond to the patients to increase the confidence in this method of medical practices. AYUSH should be the first destination of patients and not the last resort for health problems”, said health minister, UT Khadar.

He was addressing in a programme ‘Doctors day and Felicitation ceremony’, organized by the AYUSH Foundation at Wenlock Hospital, seminar hall here on Sunday July 5.

On the occasion, eight senior AYUSH doctors were felicitated.

He further said, “AYUSH Foundation will be a proper forum to raise voice against the problems and find solution pertaining to all health issues".

“Both Allopathy and Ayurveda should go hand in hand. Both have their own significance and importance. AYUSH and Allopathy will be useful in improving the immunity system”.

“A 50 bed AYUSH hospital will be started very soon and there are approximately 587 vacancies in AYUSH which will be filled after an approval from cabinet meeting. Health department will provide all its assistance and support when required for this field”, he added.

AYUSH Foundation president Dr Asha Jyothi Rai, Dr Rajeshwari Devi district surgeon, Ramakrishna Rao, DHO, Dr Devadas district AYUSH doctor and Dr Bharatesh Adhiraj were present.
