London, July 5 (IANS): Seven-time champion Roger Federer beat Sam Groth of Australia in four sets to reach the fourth round at Wimbledon here.
In Saturday's match, the 33-year-old dropped the fourth set but managed to retake control of the match, winning 6-4, 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 6-2 in two hours and 16 minutes, reported Xinhua news agency.
Federer will next face Spanish 20th seed Roberto Bautista Agut on Monday.
"I'm very happy with the way I played and I'm very pleased with the first week," Federer said.
