Panaji, Jun 30 (TOI): The political third front being proposed to be set up by some independent MLAs in Goa is just another front for the BJP and the opening up of the outline development plans (ODP) under a BJP MLA is to generate hundreds of crores, which will be used to fund the election campaign of that third front, the Congress alleged on Monday.

Briefing mediapersons, Congress spokesperson Sunil Kawthankar said that proposed third front is a "master plan" by the BJP to secure the secular, anti-corruption votes, of people who are fed up with the BJP. He also said that one BJP MLA has been given the "package" of the ODPs to generate hundreds of crores, which will then be used to fund the third front. Eventually, the third front is designed to facilitate BJP's he coming to power through the backdoor, Kawthankar said.

Asked about Congress Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco, who is said to be hobnobbing with the third front and whether the Congress would take any action against him, Kawthankar pleaded ignorance but said action, if any, would be taken at the appropriate time.
