Kidnapped Maha girl traced in Goa


Bicholim, June 21 (TNN): Bicholim police on Saturday were instrumental in tracing the whereabouts of a girl who had been kidnapped from Vengurla, Maharashtra, on June 13.

Police said the girl's relatives had lodged a missing complaint at Vengurla police station a day after the girl went missing. Vengurla police registered a case of kidnapping and the inquiry was in progress.

Vengurla police also informed Goa police for help in tracing the girl. Goa police swung into action. On Saturday, a patrolling team of Bicholim police found a girl in the premises of the KTC bus stand, Bicholim, behaving in a manner as if she needed help.

When police approached her, she narrated the incident. Police realised that she was same girl that Vengurla police were on the lookout for. Vengurla police were alerted and the custody of the girl was handed over to them.
