Santiago, June 18 (IANS): Neymar has used cuss word to express his disappointment on the refereeing decision after he was sent off in Brazil’s 0-1 loss to Colombia in a group match of Copa America.
Jeison Murillo scored the only goal of the game here in the 36th minute of the contest on Wednesday. But the real drama began after the final whistle as Barcelona star Neymar drove the ball into Colombian defender Pablo Armero and then aimed a headbutt at Murillo, who had tried to step in during Wednesday's match.
A brawl followed and it included other players too and ended with Neymar and Colombia’s Carlos Bacca being red-carded.
"The rules are always used against me, they clean the disappearing foam and do not receive yellow but I do. The ball was in my hand but it was not intentional -- I was falling -- and received yellow.
"Things happen. Put a weak referee to referee and this happens. Nothing made me crazy. I just get p****d with the referees who don't whistle right," Neymar was quoted as saying by goal.com.
Neymar will now be sidelined for Brazil's final group game, against Venezuela on Sunday, but his suspension can be extended when the Copa America's disciplinary panel meets on Thursday to discuss his dismissal.
