Saudi Arabia, Jun 15: Jam’iyyatul Falah (JF) Riyadh unit held its annual general body meeting at Red Onion Restaurant, on Friday June 12.
The meeting commenced with the recitation of the Quran by Ali Abu Shaban.
Muhammed Abu Shaban was the guest speaker (former chairman Islamic Banking Society Australia).
Speaking on the occasion, Muhammed Abu Shaban appreciated the efforts of JF working successfully for 27 years and urged the audience and JF members to follow the Quran and prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam (Peace be upon him). He noted some verses from the Quran related to virtues of helping the needy.
Parvez Ali welcomed the gathering and expressed his gratitude to all the JF life members, office bearers and the guests.
NRCC representative of JF Riyadh Akhtar Shaikh briefed about the efforts of JF in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts during the year 2013-2015 with a power point presentation. He informed the audience about the various activities conducted by the Riyadh unit during the two years tenure and also enlightened them about the prospective work being done at Mangaluru by JFCC towards various projects which are beneficial to their community. JF Green View School has achieved overall 88% in SSLC Exam.

JF Skill Development Center
JF Academy-To motivate and train college students for various competitive exams for IAS, IPS, IFS, KAS etc…
JF Information Centers: presently setup at JF HQ and in flutter planning to setup similar center in all the 11 taluk Mangaluru and DK.
Hostels: It has been decided to set up a boy’s hostel in Udupi Belthangady and other taluks which may benefit the needy students. Also, there's a plan to develop the girl’s hostel building in Mangaluru city as well.
Family Adoption: JF Plans to adopt 25 families from each taluk who are eligible for zakat, monthly ration, free health cards, children education, setting up income source/self-employment and helping them to get their legal raids like ration cards, adhaar cards and government aids services extra.
The annual financial report was presented by the treasurer Ayaz Ahmed.
The president of JF, Abdul Basheer Beary thanked the members and the committee for their support during his tenure and appealed to the youngsters to join JF in order to continue the 27 years' noble mission.
Akhtar Shaikh and Sayed Mohammed Salih conducted the election procedure. The newly elected committee selected the new president, vice-president, treasury and general secretary for the year 2015-2016.
A total of 23 executive committee members were elected for the term and three new members joined the committee.
The vote of thanks on behalf of JF Riyadh unit was delivered by Parvez Ali who expressed gratitude to all the attendees and congratulated the newly elected executive committee members. Wishing them a very successful ternure.
Muzaffar Ali Mohammed Shareef hails from Mukka, Surathkal, Mangaluru. He holds a BE degree in computer engineering. He is working as an IT applications specialist in Saudi Arabian Mining Company for the last 6 years and has been a member in JF Riyadh since 2012.
