Mangaluru, Jun 1: School reopening may not be a happy day for all kids, especially if the long summer vacation was full of fun and frolic. It's a day when most little children experience anxiety. But in a unique initiative to make this day an attractive one, and to ensure maximum attendance on the reopening day, Sri Venkatramana Higher Primary School at Kulai organized a colourful 'School Reopening Fest-2015' (Shaala Prarambhotsava) at its premises on Monday June 1.

The students of the school came dressed in vibrant butterfly costumes and celebrated the school re-opening. The entrance of the school was also adorned with a colourful image of a giant butterfly, making the event all the more special.

Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Dakshina Kannada district president Pradeep Kumar Kalkura inaugurating the ceremony said, "The central and state governments should have a uniform education system throughout the country. Kids who are here should become great persons in future and do something good for the country and for your town."

Satyajit Surathkal, state co-convener of Hindu Jagarana Vedike addressing the children said, "Children should engage themselves in various activities. Earlier children used to cry when coming to school, but now they are happy that schools are organising a lot of good activities."

There are good teachers to guide you in the right path. Kids must study every day and achieve big in life."

K K Pejawar, headmaster of Sri Venkatramana Higher Primary School welcomed the guests and briefed about the achievements of the school.

K C Friends Circle, Kulai distributed uniforms to some kids, while Kulala Sangha distributed notebooks to some students.

Flower pots for the school were donated by Kulala Cottage Industry.

@FAB, Whether Dress is necessary or not necessary, but Entertainment is part of the life. Some times we have to do unnecessary expenses also. That is natural.
