Mumbai, May 27 (Mid-Day): Incident came to light on Saturday after the boy told his mother about the exploitation he was subjected to after two medical tests failed to pinpoint reason behind severe stomach ache and vomiting
A 40-year-old man was arrested yesterday by the officials from Vartaknagar police station, Thane, for sodomising his six-year-old nephew for almost 10 months on the pretext of teaching him yoga. The incident came to light on Saturday after the boy finally told his mother about his sexual exploitation at the hands of his uncle.
The disclosure came after the mother coaxed him to tell her what was wrong with him after a couple of medical tests to ascertain reasons for severe stomach ache and vomiting failed to detect an ailment. These tests were done a month ago.
Commenting on the case, a police official said that the child was sexually abused from August 2014 to May 2015. He said the accused unemployed and single exploited the boy at his grandmother’s residence, where he used to spend time after school, awaiting his parents’ return from work.
