Puttur, Apr 1: The Taluk-level third Sahitya Sammelan was held on Saturday March 31.

I K Boluvaru, senior artiste who spoke on the occasion said that if children are not initiated into our culture their future will be at stake. Thus it is necessary to inculcate in them a habit towards theatre.

There is no difference between a sahitya sammelan of children and that of elders. Any difference will lead to growth of our culture.

The third Sahitya Sammelan was inaugurated by senior artiste A P Malati. “Children’s mind is very sensitive and so it is the primary responsibility of the parents and teachers to lead them to be good citizens of India.

During the Sammelan there was a cultural progarme organized by children.

Asha Thimmappa Zilla Panchayat president, Keshav Gowda Nellyadi Gram Panchayat president, B Purandar Bhat Puttur taluk Children’s Sathitya Sangam president, Baskar Nellyadi and Vijay Kumar were also present on the occasion.
