Mangalore, Mar 30: Hore Dibbana procession as part of Ashthabandha Brahmakalashotsava and Nagamandal of Shree Durgaparameshwari Temple at Kateel was held on Friday March 30 morning.

The procession was flagged-off at Nehru Maidan in which representatives of all the religion participated.   The procession was inaugurated by Nitte Education Trust president Vinay Hegde.  Congaress leaders U T Khader and Ivan D'Souza and of MIFT founder president M G Hegde were also present on the occasion along with Sandesha director Fr Francis Lewis.

A special contribution of Rs 1.5 lac given for Brahmakalashotsava by enterpreneur Ronald Colaco on behalf of Federation of Christian Association was also announced on the occasion.

Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, president of Dibbaba Committee, Karnataka Bank officer Jayaram Bhat, Mahila Okkuta president Vijayalakshmi Shetty, Navodaya Gramavikasa Trust president M N Rajendrakumar, Navaneeth Shetty Kadri, Ajith Kumar  Maladi, Dr Asha Jyothi Rai, Sharavu Raghavendra Shastry, Sureshchandra Shetty and others were among the dignataries who were present on the occasion.

Procession ended at Mangala Stadium which passed through Hampanakatta, PVS Circle and Lalbagh carrying rice, vegetables, bangles, steel vessels, mats etc. Dozens of lorries and buses along with band and ‘man’ participated in the procession.
