Mangalore, Mar 29: Under the District Information Access Module, the Provident Fund offices of South India will be linked online, said Additional Central Provident Fund Commissioner (South Zone) P Sudhakar Babu here on Thursday.
Speaking exclusively to Daijiworld, he said that the Kerala has been completely linked last July 2006. At these district centres, the people can obtain information on the status of their accounts, establishments covered and even payment details of pension of the last 6 months.
Tamil Nadu and Karnataka will be connected by December 31, 2007.
The Udupi office offers the DIA Module and will be soon available in other centres too. A new sub divisional office will be opened shortly in Shimoga, he added. Mangalore and Hyderabad have been selected as the pilot centres for implementation of the Business Process Reengineering (Computerization) in South India.
