Abu Dhabi: First edition of IRES to be hosted on May 15 and 16

Media Release

Abu Dhabi, May 13: IRES 2015 to be held on May 15 and 16 is an exclusive and focused platform for the Indian infrastructure and real estate developers to showcase their projects to the very affluent and progressive Indian community in Abu Dhabi. The grand show will be attended by more than 2000 Indian prospective investors at Hotel Grand Millennium, Al Wahda, with an objective to realize their dream of owning a real estate property back in India, whether residential, commercial or retail.

The platform will enable them to interact, learn, evaluate and select the best investment options. The exhibitors will immensely benefit from the showcase through face to face meeting Indian HNIs, Bankers, CEOs, CFOs and entrepreneurs generating much desired business leads. The platform will also see participation from major Indian banks to service any financial requirements of the investors.

According to a recent report by IMF, Indian Economy, whose size is $2 trillion as of now, is poised to overtake the combined GDP of Japan and Germany in the next four years on the back of recent policy reforms and improved confidence. Much of this growth is poised to be supported by the infrastructure sector. As half of the population is under 30, there is going to be a strong demand for housing and commercial space leading to appreciation in rates across categories. No doubt, supply shall match the growth pace, but quality infrastructure will always be the preferred choice.

As Rajiv Shah, CEO, GIC Consultants puts it - "India is growing much better than other global economies and holds a great potential for decent returns over the long term period. Different regions in India will deliver different levels of returns based on various factors. We want to expose our customers to these varied and quality investment options which have been duly vetted by our expert team. Call it - 'Think India. Think Growth'.

Gaurav Bansal, Director - Strategic Marketing, GIC Consultants says, "Many real estate exhibitions are organized in UAE round the year. What we now require is a focused platform for investors to not only see various investment options available but also get exposed to the mechanism of calculating ROI based on a factual combination of parameters namely region, class, developer credibility, demand supply analysis and more. We at GIC are committed to deliver this mechanism to our customers.”

Also mentioned by Jonia/ Archana at Classico – “We as an events management company want to bring the best events for the benefit of our clients, and this is our first step for real estate in the process .”

The question of why Abu Dhabi is hosting the first edition of IRES can very well be explained by the fact that the emirate accounts for about two-thirds of the $600 billion UAE economy and is the wealthiest emirate of the UAE in terms of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and per capita income. Abu Dhabi is one of the largest producers of oil in the world and majority of the inhabitants are from India.

Starting with Abu Dhabi, IRES as a platform will cover various geographies in Middle East, South East Asia, Australia, and US.
