Chennai, May 10 (IANS): Actor-filmmaker Raghava Lawrencce, who is basking in the success of his latest Tamil directorial "Kanchana 2", is all set to play the lead in yet-untitled Tamil remake of recent Telugu hit "Pataas".
"I'm taking a break from direction. I'll be acting in the remake of 'Pataas'. It was a fun film and I'm going to love working in it. We are on the lookout for a suitable director for this project," Lawrencce told IANS.
Producer R.B. Chaudhary has bagged the film's remake rights.
A sleeper hit, "Pataas" revolved around a corrupt policeman who gets changed for good due to an incident.
Meanwhile, Lawrencce has a few scripts ready for some of the leading heroes of southern cinema.
"I have two scripts ready for superstar Rajinikanth. I'm working on a script for actor Pawan Kalyan. As soon as I complete it, I intend to go and meet him. I'm also getting ready with the next part of 'Kanchana'," he said.
