Moodbidri, Mar 25: A massive protest rally against the state government was held in front of the Nada Kacheri here on Saturday March 24.
The protest was led by MLA K Abhyachandra Jain. He said that the present the government has been cancelling all the facilities which were provided to the poor people by the earlier government.
He sited the example of yellow ration cards which are now given to everyone but for poor and needy. Owing to this many of the poor families are starving, he added.
The agitators who were present in big number later submitted a memorandum to the government through tahsildar.
Ex-municipal presidents Premananda Prabhu, Suresh Kotian, Sundara, Municipal member Idinabba, Felix Lobo and others were present at the protest meet.
