Paris, May 5 (IANS): English football side Manchester United are yet to decide on the future of striker Radamel Falcao, on-loan from Monaco till the end of the season, the French club's vice-president Vadim Vasilyev has said.
The 29-year-old Colombian scorer has endured a poor season at United, having scored just four goals in 27 appearances. Rumours circulating widely tip him to leave the English club at the end of the ongoing season, reports Xinhua.
Manchester United have the option to turn Falcao's one-year loan deal into a permanent one by shelling out 43.2 million pounds.
"I met the Manchester officials last Sunday," said Vasilyev on Monday.
"They have not decided if they would exercise the option. It has not been his best season, but they will decide at the end of this season," he added.
"The decision lies with Manchester and then we will discuss with the player to know what he wants."
Monaco now sit on the third position in Ligue 1 trailing leaders Paris Saint-Germain on 9 points, while the United are fourth-placed in the English Premier League, 18 points behind already-champions Chelsea.
