Mangalore, Mar 21: Renowned international orthopaedic surgeon, past president of AO International and president of Swiss Surgeons Association Prof Thomas Ruedi from Switzerland will be in the city to participate in the AOAA symposium on Saturday March 24 and Sunday March 25.

The symposium, on the topic ‘Challenges in Fracture Management,’ will be held at Hotel Taj Manjarun, stated a press release.

A total of 150 orthopaedic surgeons from all over the country will participate in the symposium, where in critical analysis of different types of management for complicated fractures will be discussed and debated.

A civic reception in honour of Prof Ruedi will be hosted by Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) on Monday March 26 at 11 am at Town Hall here, the release stated.

On the same evening, Prof Ruedi will also deliver the keynote address at the graduation day ceremony of K S Hegde Medical Academy.

Prof Ruedi is a visiting professor to various universities around the world and has about 250 publications to his credit.
