Rio de Janeiro, April 29 (IANS): Brazilian Corinthians are preparing to sign English club Tottenham Hotspur's midfielder Paulinho during the summer transfer window.
Paulinho has struggled for first-team football since his 17 million-pound transfer to the English club from Corinthians in July 2013.
The Brazilian club's sporting director Edu Gaspar said financial issues would not impede an agreement for the 26-year-old.
"He is still very popular around here," Gaspar said on Tuesday.
"There are always obstacles but I don't think money will get in the way of a possible deal."
Paulinho was a key member of the Corinthians team that won the Copa Libertadores-FIFA Club World Cup double in 2012.
He has been capped 32 times for Brazil but has not represented the Selecao since last year's World Cup.
