Mangalore, Mar 17: Dr Vincent Crasta, Dept. of Physics, St. Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor  has been awarded Ph. D for his research work "Crystal Growth and Characterization of Some Novel Organic Non-Linear Materials", from Mangalore University under the supervision of Dr V Ravindrachary, reader, Department of Studies in Physics, Mangalore University.

Dr Vincent has published 6 papers in the international journals. He has also presented 11 papers in the international conferences at various places of India and abroad and 12 papers in the national conferences.

He also attended and presented two of his research papers in the International conference on "Optics and Photonics" from 31st July – 4th August 2005, at San Diego, California USA.

Vincent did his bachelor degree at St Philomena College, Puttur and post graduation in physics at Mangalore University with specialization in electronics. He has also completed post graduation diploma in computer application at St Aloysius College. He worked for 8 years at St Agnes College.  At present he is the head and assistant Professor in the department of physics at St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor.
