Beltangady, Mar 16: If the developments in JD (S) district unit are to considered seriously then, it is all sure that former assembly whip Vasant Bangera is set to join Congress after March 25.

In his own words he would declare his stand during the convention of party workers to be held on Sunday March 25.  The party workers who had gathered at a meeting held in the Gurunarayana Auditorium appealed Bangera to come out from JD (S) which has tied-up with BJP just for the sake of power.

They criticized the party supremo Deve Gowda of promoting his family at the top level and alleged that he has introduced family politics in the party.  Speaking during the meeting TAPCMS president Jeevandhar Kumar said that though it is coalition government, BJP has been the Big Brother and has snatched major share in everything such cabinet, major portfolios etc.

Another leader Farooq Ullal said that JD (S) is led by minister Nagaraj Shetty in the district and it has shed its secular image by shaking hands with BJP.  "So it is high time that we disassociate ourselves from JD (S) and join Congress which is still secular in its views," he said.

It is now quite sure that many of the questions will be answered on March 25.  A mass exodus of JD (S) party workers to Congress is expected.  But there is almost a week for that.  In politics one week is more than enough to change any equations and views.  So everyone is keeping his finger crossed upto Sunday March 25.
