Six holidaymakers from UAE missing in Nepal

Dubai, April 27 (IANS): Six holiday-makers from the UAE were still missing after the powerful 7.9 magnitude earthquake in Nepal that took more than 2,400 lives, media reported on Sunday.

Family members of the six youth, who landed in Kathmandu on Friday morning for a week-long vacation, have appealed on social media that people with information about them to come forth, Emirates24/7 News reported.

Their last known whereabouts was their hotel, The Last Resort, in Sindhupalchok district.

According to family members, the group had booked a bungee jumping session for Saturday morning. They left the resort in the morning of April 25 and the family members have not heard from them since then.

Thanzeem Rawther, sister to Thanweer Rawther, who is one of the six missing, said: "None of us have slept for the past 24 hours. We are just praying they are safe and find a way to reach word out to us."
