Udupi, Mar 16: As the Nagarjuna antagonists are gearing-up to hold a day-long National Highway bundh, a few of them offered prayers in Shri Veerabhadra Temple at Yellur near here on Wednesday March 14 evening.
Residents of Yellur, Nandikur and surrounding areas offered joint prayers in the temple and asserted that they would hold on their stand against setting-up Nagarjuna. Vedamurthy Bettige Venkatraj Tantri offered puja and wished all the best to the antagonists and said that Nagarjuna would step back by itself since Lord Veerabhadra had that power.
The prayers were offered in the auspicious Godhuli mahurtam and were attended by Nandikur Janajagruti Samiti president Lakshman Shetty, Kolachur Kondettu Sukumar Shetty, Mumbai committee representative Ashok G Shetty, Yellur Veerendra Hegde, Y Prafulla, managing director of Yellur Mahatobara Shri Vishweshawara Temple were also present on the occasion.
