Mangalore, Mar 16: Three colleges in the city were granted permission to start new PG courses, at the fourth general meeting of the Academic Council of Mangalore University held at the new senate hall in University campus here on Thursday March 15.

While School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya will start MSc in Holistic Psychological Counselling, St Aloysius College has been permitted to begin MSc in Holistic Psychological Counselling, MSc in Software Technology and MSc in Analytical Chemistry from the forthcoming academic year.

SDM College, Ujire has been given the permission to start MSc in Biotechnology, MSc in Holistic Psychological Counselling and PhD in Psychology.

Meanwhile, hitting hard at colleges that did not adhere to stipulated rules and regulations of the University, the Council refused Agastya College’s proposal to begin BBM, BA and BCA courses. It also refused a similar proposal from Netaji Subhashchandra Bose Institute of Management.
