Mangalore, Mar 13: In a path-breaking decision, the Central Railway Board has passed an order that the important trains that run along the Konkan Railway will now stop at Byndoor.
Baindoor Railway Struggle Committee, which has been demanding the move for a long time now, informed on Monday March 12 that the Netravati Express and Matsyagandha Express will stop at Byndoor from Thursday March 15 onwards.
The committee appreciated the role played by union minister Oscar Fernandes in coaxing union minister R Velu to pass the order.
The newly-drawn timetable will be implemented in on experimental basis for three months.
