Charli XCX doesn't want to be a role model

London, April 21 (IANS): Singer Charli XCX thinks “being a b***h is the best" and has told her fans to expect mistakes from her.

The 22-year-old told Daily Telegraph newspaper that her fans should not consider her a role model, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

“My whole genre is b***h-pop. Being a b***h is the best. Even though I probably am (a role model), because certain people look up to me, that's never been an aim of mine,” Charli said.

“But I understand that's a responsibility that comes with the territory, even if you don't ask for it. I'm OK with that, as long as they know I'm definitely gonna make some mistakes along the way,” she added.

The "Boom clap" hitmaker is confident about herself and doesn't care about other people's opinions.

“Towards the end of 2013, I began to take this stance where I really didn't care what people thought of me... I genuinely feel very happy with myself and confident in the way I'm as a person," she said.

"I'm also willing to accept that not everybody will like that, but that doesn't really bother me," she added.
